Blackbaud Celebrates Veterans Around the World
On November 11, we will celebrate Veterans Day in the US and Remembrance Day in Australia, Canada, and the UK. The words of American author, playwright, and producer Sidney Sheldon clearly depict the sentiment of why we observe the day.
“My heroes are those who risk their lives every day to protect our world and make it a better place — police, firefighters, and members of our armed forces.”
These words remind us how important it is to reflect on the service and sacrifice so many veterans have made for their countries.
In the US, Veterans Day is a day to honor all who served in the United States Armed Forces. In Australia, Canada, and the UK, Remembrance Day is a day to honor members of their armed forces who have died in the line of duty.
As customary, to honor veterans around the world, our employees are invited to observe two minutes of silence at 11 a.m., on the 11th day, of the 11th month. Some of our employees also shared special memories of their time in service. See them pictured below:
