Blackbaud Employees Honor Black Leaders in History for Black History Month
February marks the acknowledgement and celebration of Black History Month in the U.S. and Canada —a month dedicated to recognizing the important contributions that African Americans and Black Canadians have made to help shape our countries.
In many instances, Black History Month can mean different things to different people, and at Blackbaud, we are excited to celebrate this observance across a multitude of perspectives as a global company. Doing so gives us the chance to deepen our commitment to learning from and engaging with each other, because it’s never too late to stop learning and growing.
In the spirit of education and engagement, and to kick off our celebration of Black History Month, members of Blackbaud’s BLEND employee resource group (Black Employees Encouraging Diversity) produced a few short videos about influential black leaders who helped ensure Black history’s long overdue and rightful inclusion in U.S. and Canadian history.
At Blackbaud, we remain committed to creating a diverse and inclusive work environment where every employee is not only proud of their own story, but also open to learning more about the stories of others.
Happy Black History Month!
