Blackbaud Partners with Fortune and U.S. State Department to Welcome Emerging Woman Leader from Poland
Marks Company’s Third Year of Participation in Global Women’s Mentorship Program
Charleston, S.C. (March 8, 2019) – Blackbaud (NASDAQ: BLKB), the world’s leading cloud software company powering social good, today announced that the company will host a rising business leader mentee as part of the Fortune – U.S. Department of State Global Women’s Mentoring Partnership for the third consecutive year. Blackbaud will welcome Hanna Hieronimczuk, general manager of operations at StepStone.pl, an e-recruiting firm in Warsaw, Poland, for 10 days of onsite mentoring at the company’s world headquarters in Charleston, S.C. The announcement was made in conjunction with Blackbaud’s celebration of International Women’s Day.
The Fortune – U.S. Department of State Global Women’s Mentoring Partnership is a public-private partnership between Fortune Most Powerful Women, the U.S. Department of State, and Vital Voices Global Partnership. The program draws on the expertise of America’s most accomplished leaders to enhance the business and leadership skills of international women professionals. Over the course of the three-week program, mentees engage in skills trainings, panel discussions, networking events, and a 10-day mentorship with top female executives and their teams. Now in its 14th year, the program includes 319 alumnae from 56 countries and territories.
“We are proud to once again participate in the Fortune – U.S. Department of State Global Women’s Mentoring Partnership and look forward to welcoming Hanna to Blackbaud,” said Mike Gianoni, president and chief executive officer at Blackbaud. “Our continued support of this important program underscores Blackbaud’s ongoing commitment to advancing and empowering female leadership. Our team comprises the best and brightest in our industry, and we look forward to working with Hanna to help her gain new career skills, enhance her business and expand her network for continued growth.”
The program begins with a four-day Orientation Program in Washington, D.C. Each mentee then spends 10 days at her mentor company for a customized program designed to address her professional challenges and interests. During this time, Hieronimczuk will be paired with three-time program mentor Amy Lucia, Blackbaud’s vice president, Corporate Marketing, whose leadership experience spanned the Fortune 100 and nonprofit space before joining Blackbaud’s senior executive ranks in 2016. Hieronimczuk will meet with Blackbaud leaders and members of the Charleston business community on topics including business planning and development, leadership development, marketing, and more. She then will reconvene with other program mentees in New York City for a three-day program to reflect on their experiences, discuss how to implement lessons learned, and meet with other established American women leaders from the public, private, and nonprofit sectors.
“Blackbaud has an amazing culture that proudly supports female leadership,” said Lucia. “This culture is further enriched by opportunities to share and gain perspectives in partnership with our program mentees. As Hanna embarks on a new phase of her career, I and the rest of Blackbaud’s diverse and experienced leadership team look forward to welcoming and supporting her.”
Blackbaud’s commitment to empowering female leadership is a focused and continually expanding effort. The company has an equal gender balance in its workforce and has been recognized for its efforts, including being named by Forbes as one of America’s Best Employers for Women and one of the AnitaB.org 2018 Top Companies for Women Technologists in 2018.
