Blackbaud Receives Charleston Animal Society’s Community Ambassador Award
On Sunday, as part of the Charleston Animal Society’s 146th Annual Meeting and Celebration, Blackbaud was honored to receive the Animal Society’s Community Ambassador Award.
A gigantic blow-up Caitlyn outside Blackbaud World Headquarters greeted attendees to Charleston Animal Society’s 146th Annual Meeting. Caitlyn is the face of the Society’s anti-cruelty fund after her story of survival inspired thousands of people around the world.
At Blackbaud, we believe the world will be a better place when good takes over. As part of that higher purpose, we’re passionate about supporting causes in our home communities that drive impact and improve lives, such as through our work with the Charleston Animal Society, a cause close to the heart of our president and CEO, Mike Gianoni. From Mike dispelling myths about at-risk shelter dogs through PSAs to Blackbaud sponsoring special events benefitting the medical care of animals to senior and frontline employees rolling up their sleeves to build humane enclosures for underserved families’ outdoor pets, Blackbaud has been proud to support the Animal Society and improve the lives of animals.
Over the past decade, Charleston Animal Society has become a national model for lifesaving success, having led Charleston County to become the first No Kill Community in the Southeast.
We thank the Charleston Animal Society for honoring us with the Community Ambassador Award and look forward to continuing to support this great cause in our home community of Charleston.
