Sherry Jordan Receives 2020 “Ones to Watch” Award from IDG/IDC
Blackbaud’s director of IT, Sherry Jordan, was recently recognized as a 2020 “Ones to Watch” honoree by IDG’s CIO and IDC’s CIO Executive Council. The Ones to Watch award spotlights rising technology leaders who have what it takes to become the strategic, C-level business technology executives of tomorrow. Sherry is joined by leaders from IBM, PepsiCo, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, Bose and others on this high-profile list.
A panel of judges, recruited from the CIO Executive Council’s IT leader membership, carefully reviewed submissions and selected 50 technology professionals for this honor. These individuals possess an essential blend of communications and collaboration skills, as well as a keen understanding of business goals.
“As CIOs become more involved in corporate-wide decisions and objectives, reliance on qualified and talented people within their IT organizations to manage key projects is critical to overall business success,” notes Tim Scannell, Director of Strategic Content at the CIO Executive Council. “The Ones to Watch Awards are an effective way to acknowledge the success of those individuals who have the right mix of technology and management skills to maintain continuity, drive innovation and lead solutions teams. The awards also affirm, on a global stage, that recipients have the capabilities that position them as future leaders in the industry.”
As Blackbaud’s director of infrastructure and cloud engineering, Sherry leads global teams supporting Blackbaud business operations including service desk, production operations, telecom, identity governance, cloud engineering as well as strategy and planning. Sherry currently leads Blackbaud’s Women in Tech affinity group. Prior to joining Blackbaud, Sherry spent 15 years with Cummins, Inc as well as four years at GE.
Sherry will accept the award at the AGENDA20 Conference held March 23-25 at the Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort & Spa in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
